A group of 8 of us recently went down to ride in the Florida Keys. 3 were experienced riders, 2 were beginners with some experience in the water and on snow, and 3 were absolute beginners. We hooked up with the team at Seven Sports on the very first day, and they gave us all of the information that we needed for a fantastic trip. Not only were we blessed with wind every day that we were down there, we rented a pontoon to get us to the best spots based upon the wind direction. The great thing about the keys is that you can ride ocean-side or bay-side depending on the wind direction. We were also able to anchor at a sandbar each day. This was key, as the beginners were able to walk back upwind when necessary, and the experienced riders could use that as their base station. Since we were down there at a pretty slow time of year, we had these locations pretty much to ourselves. 2 of our riders took lessons from the instructors from Seven Sports, and were able to ride a few hundred yards by the end of the trip. Having everyone get up and enjoy the kiting was incredible. I would recommend this location as a cheaper alternative to flying to the caribbean.
Seven Sports: Brad was awesome. He took the time to help us get to the best possible spots each day, and was very accommodating. If you need assistance when traveling to the Keys, be sure to stop by and check out Seven Sports, as they'll treat you right.
