Winds look really good for these days.

Here are my thoughts.

Thursday - SE around 15-20. Nelson on Mendota or Fish Camp on Kegonsa.
Friday - WSW around 12-18. Olbrich on Monona or Burrows on Mendota. For sure a foiling day, but still good for high kites.
Saturday - SSE, S around 10-20. MCdaniels or Nelson.
Sunday. Strong winds out of the SSW. McDaniels.
Monday. NW and breezy. Burrows or Tenney on Mendota.

Keep an eye on the radar though due to some strong storms coming through.

Good morning everyone.....just woke up ( late night last night) and checked the radar and listening to local weather. I just posted this on Facebook.

Be very very careful today.

To all kite boarders. Today's forecast should demand respect for what may happen in our area. Do not take lightly the threat of strong storms around the region. The plan is to go to McDaniels Park on Lake Waubesa, but those plans could be canceled or altered if the storms threaten the area.

I/we will be watching the radar closely all day to see what if any threats are going to hit us today.

One thing to keep in mind is that the conditions today could blow up on radar quickly. Meaning, the radar could be clear and then the storms appear out of nowhere quickly. These are the conditions where these storms are also very strong and active.

We can deal with strong winds, and today's forecast is for breezy to strong winds, but having to deal with storms adds an entire risk factor that should be respected.

There is a very strong line of storms reaching from Texas all the way to Iowa and Illinois.
